Season over for Ingimarsson

Reading have received a major blow with the news that Ivar Ingimarsson will not play again this season.

The 31-year-old was sent for an exploratory operation on a long-standing knee problem last week and the surgery has revealed an injury which is serious enough to end his season.

"Obviously this is sad for Ivar and the team," manager Steve Coppell told the club's official website.

"But this is the correct method of rehabilitation and it will ensure he returns to the squad as soon as possible and in the best possible condition."
