Royals sign up second Hunt

Reading have completed the signing of Dundee United striker Noel Hunt for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract.

The 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international joins his brother, Stephen, at the Royals, having scored 28 goals in 75 appearances for the Terrors.

Reading boss Steve Coppell told the club's official website: "He's a player we've known about for quite a while. Obviously there's the family connection and we were aware of him some while back.

"We had him watched a number of times last season and we felt that he would be a good addition.

"He's flexible, he can play right across the line up front and like Stephen he is a wholehearted player.

"He can link up and he can get on the end of things. He's young and hungry and we hope that can rub off on some of the other players here."
