Royals secure Tabb signing

Reading have bolstered their squad with the signing of Coventry City midfielder Jay Tabb for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old has signed a contract running until the summer of 2011, having been with the Sky Blues since the summer of 2006.

Royals chairman John Madejski told the club's official website: "I would like to welcome Jay to Reading and I am sure his signing will strengthen our squad as we push for an immediate return back up into the Premier League.

"We are entering the crucial final stage of the campaign and Jay's signing will bolster a squad that has already done well so far this season."

Manager Steve Coppell added: "He is a player I know well and I am certain he will supplement our squad as we go into this final third of the season."

Tabb scored 12 goals in 105 appearances for Coventry, having started his career with Brentford.
