Reading number one Adam Federici has admitted that the players are struggling to perform at home where the expectation of fans is putting pressure on the relegation-threatened team.
Players, fans and pundits all anticipated a strong season from the Royals but they've struggled, falling to 19th after Tuesday's 4-2 defeat at home to Crystal Palace. Only seven points have been won at the Madejski Stadium from ten games.
"We seemed to lack a bit of confidence which was a strange feeling out there. Everyone wants to perform at home and to impress the supporters - the pressure is there," Federici conceded to BBC Berkshire.
"A few people have to stick their hands up a bit more and do more on the pitch like we do on away games," the 24-year-old Aussie keeper added.
