Royals departure for Sodje

Reading have released Sam Sodje following the end of the defender's contract.

Sodje, 30, was expected to leave the Royals after ending the season on loan at Leeds United.

The centre-half could now join the League One side on a permanent basis.

"I would like to wish Sam all the best for the future," director of football Nick Hammond told the club's official website.

"He has not been able to play as many games as he would have liked for us, but he now has the opportunity to find himself a new home in the game and good luck to him."
