Royals complete Ingimarsson deal

Reading have completed the signing of midfielder Ivar Ingimarsson from Wolves in a £100,000 deal.

The Iceland international is well known to Royals boss Steve Coppell having worked with him at both Brentford and Brighton, and with no sign of a first-team recall at Molineux he jumped at the chance of playing for him at a third club.

He told the club's official website: "I'm very happy and relieved to have joined Reading. When they contacted Wolves I wanted to come here - they are a big club, they've got a nice stadium and it all seems to be set up in a way that means it's here to last."

The 25-year-old began his career in his homeland with Valur Reykjavik before moving on to IBV Vestmann, where he had a spell on loan at Torquay United.

From there he signed for Brentford where he made 113 league appearances before signing for Wolves at the beginning of last season, although he spent three month's of that campaign on loan at Brighton after failing to establish himself in the first team at Molineux.
