Royals skipper eyeing big guns
Manager Brendan Rodgers is set to name a young side for the cup tie and Pearce wants a win to book a tie with one of the big four.
He said: "Although this competition is admittedly not one of our main priorities this season it is very important that a young side use every minute of the game to gain vital experience.
"If we can get through this second round tie then we can perhaps look forward to a draw which will include the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
"With a bit of momentum behind us, who knows how far we can go and where this competition will take us."
