Royals boss looking to the future
A new striker tops the former Watford boss' wish list in the January transfer window with Noel Hunt ruled out for the season.[LNB]And speculation around his position after a poor start to the current Championship campaign is not stopping Rodgers planning further ahead.[LNB]He told the Reading Chronicle: "There's no doubt that over the course of this season there will be a big transition in the squad. When I came here in the summer there were players I knew would naturally move on. I expected that but the fact is they have to be replaced.[LNB]"So far we've brought in players to make up the squad and supplement it. I'm talking very good young players with bright futures, but we need experience to go with that.[LNB]"We're looking closely at the situation because the next two transfer windows will be big periods of transition for us. When that happens I believe we will really push on."[LNB][LNB]
