Royals boss eyes sexy football
Rodgers took the reigns at the Madejski Stadium last week following Steve Coppell's departure in the wake of the Royals' failure to make an immediate return to the Premier League.
"I've seen it in this league that you can play football and you can get players to express themselves and feel comfortable with the ball," Rodgers told the Reading Post.
"A lot of my work is based around that and every manager has different ways in which they work.
"I've been fortunate enough to perfect that pattern over 15 years and it is something that is a mixture between the British and European model and I'm looking forward to putting that in place."
