Royals boss desperate for victory

The 53-year-old knows the relegation-threatened Tykes are desperate for the three points, but insists the Royals are in equal need of the win.[LNB]Reading have picked up a meagre two points from their last six games at the Madejski Stadium, and victory over Barnsley would all-but secure a play-off place.[LNB]Coppell told the club's official website: "Barnsley are cornered cats at the moment and are desperate for the three points but similarly we are.[LNB]"We've got a lot to prove to ourselves and possibly to the rest of the division about our credentials because there have been a lot of questions asked and recently we haven't had the answers.[LNB]"But there has been a lot of resolve within the squad of players to try to put our situation right."[LNB][LNB]
