Rosenior enjoyed the banter

Former Reading defender Liam Rosenior has responded to the hostile reception he received after representing Ipswich Town at Madejski Stadium last weekend.

The 25-year-old right-back was jeered throughout the 1-1 draw after arousing passions in the build-up to the game with comments he made, but he claims he enjoyed his experience both on Saturday and during his time with the Royals.

Speaking to The Reading Chronicle, he said: "To be honest I was getting booed last season when I was playing for Reading.

"But I've got nothing but respect for the fans here. I had a bit of banter with them and I hope they don't take it too seriously.

"It was nice to come back and see so many friendly faces and Reading was a great club to play for."
