Rodgers backing for misfit Mills

Mills was Rodgers' biggest signing of the summer, costing around £2million from Doncaster, but has not featured since a 4-1 defeat at QPR in late October. Rodgers said: "No, Matt's not injured but you just need to look at the two centre-halves we have at the moment. "We have got Ivar Ingimarsson who is in for his experience and then Alex Pearce is hard to leave out. "After that, if you're strategically putting together a bench you have to pick the players and get the balance right. "Matt us working really hard and he is unfortunate but he is very much part of the group."
