Rodgers relishing Toon test

The Royals are the opposition for the Magpies' first home clash since returning to the second tier and, to add to the occasion, it is also the first match at St James' Park since the death of Newcastle legend Sir Bobby Robson.[LNB]But despite what is sure to be an intense build-up, Rodgers is focused on his side recording their first win of the season, following their opening-day draw with Nottingham Forest.[LNB]"This is a great game to go and play in. You want to play in big stadia and in a big environment," he told the club's official website.[LNB]"There will also be big emotion, it's the first game since Sir Bobby Robson passed away and he was a great man. He was a great role model for British coaches, he travelled around the world, Spain, Portugal, Holland and we respect that, he is a legend in Newcastle.[LNB]"For us, we have to draw a positive from the atmosphere, and once that whistle goes we obviously want to win the game.[LNB]"Playing at Newcastle is a great occasion and we have no fear going there. It's great to have the chance to play them early because it's a good marker for us in this division.[LNB]"Every game in this league is tough and this is no different. We will go there with a positive attitude and look for a positive result."[LNB][LNB] Newcastle v Reading. Click here to bet.
