Rodgers: Home win will come
At half-time against Watford, Reading seemed to be heading towards a first home Championship win since January 27 with through Grzegorz Rasiak's early goal, but Danny Graham grabbed the Hornets' equaliser in the 66th minute and the game ended 1-1.[LNB]Five minutes from time there was a second yellow card for Watford substitute Nathan Ellington, who had only been on the pitch for 22 minutes.[LNB]"We made a real good start to the game, just as we did last week at Peterborough, and I thought we were outstanding in the first 15 to 20 minutes," said Rodgers.[LNB]"But we go up in games then relax and let other teams get back in. We started well but didn't push on. Watford are a good young side, with good young players.[LNB]"We just need to get this disappointing run at home nailed and then we can push on."[LNB]Watford boss Malky Mackay said: "I'm proud of the way we played to come back from the first 10 minutes, compose ourselves and go on to get the point.[LNB]"I am also delighted with the way we managed the game when we were down to 10 men near the end. I thought both of the yellow cards for Nathan were justified."[LNB]Watford's 3,500 travelling supporters, unhappy at the way Rodgers had left in the summer, spent the game chanting at their former boss. In the closing stages that chant was "you're getting sacked in the morning".[LNB]Rodgers made a joke of the abuse, saying: "They may be right."[LNB]Mackay added "You are going to get that at any game when a manager has moved on. It would be naive to think it wasn't going to happen. That's probably why we had so many fans here."[LNB]Reading made a lively start and, after coming close to scoring three times in the opening three minutes, they eventually made the breakthrough in the seventh.[LNB]Jem Karacan's through pass to Gylfi Sigurdsson was quickly slipped on to Rasiak. He controlled the ball, turned sharply and fired it high into the Watford net. It was the Polish striker's first goal for Reading.[LNB]Reading were in the ascendancy as the first half came to an end, but Watford did better after the break.[LNB]Their equaliser came in the 67th minute when Graham spotted Adam Federici starting to come off his line and guided his header over the hesitant keeper and into the net.[LNB][LNB]
