Rodgers happy with five-star Royals
Gylfi Sigurdsson, Nicholas Bignall, James Henry, James Harper and Simon Church got their names on the scoresheet as Rodgers named a different XI in each half.
Rodgers said: "We have only been together a week and I thought our possession and creation of chances was very good.
"We scored five goals and could have had more. There was good freedom in the team and after only one week I am very pleased.
"We played with two different structures, a diamond in the first half and 4-3-3 in the second half and both worked well."
