Reading decision shocks Gooding

Former Reading manager Mick Gooding says he was shocked by the departure of Brendan Rodgers from the club.Rodgers left Reading by mutual consent after just over six months in charge. Gooding told BBC Berkshire: "He took over a club that have had a big shift in policy - Brendan knew this when he took over. "He was left with a young inexperienced squad.
