Reading's director of football Nick Hammond says the club are under no pressure to offload some of their star players, following their relegation from the Premier League.
The likes of Nicky Shorey and Kevin Doyle have been linked with moves away from the Royals this summer, but Hammond is hoping to keep the current squad together.
He told the club's official website: "We've got players who are under contract, so if they are to go elsewhere it wouldn't only be their decision.
"We have good players so there will be Premier League interest.
"But the way the club has managed finances in the past, we're not under pressure to sell, it will have to be on our terms.
"We want to keep our best players, many of them were involved in winning promotion before.
"There will be changes, there will be some dealing, some will go and some will come in."
