Reading have confirmed they will not be signing Plymouth striker Bradley Wright-Phillips due to "medical issues".

The Royals were in pole position to land the former Manchester City and Southampton man but have now pulled out of the deal.

Director of football Nicky Hammond said: "We are disappointed as Bradley is a fantastic young man but there are currently some medical issues that prevent us from completing the deal at this time.

"I would like to thank Plymouth Argyle for their very professional approach in these discussions."
