Promotion race will be close affair - McDermott
Reading boss Brian McDermott believes the race for promotion to the Barclays Premier League is wide open this season.
The Royals are currently four points off the top six in 11th spot, with just seven points separating Swansea in third from Barnsley in 12th.
McDermott said: "It's an open division and there are plenty of teams still in the mix.
"You look at QPR, they look like they could go out of sight, Cardiff are obviously up there, then the rest of it, there's nothing in it.
"If we won on Saturday we'd have gone seventh and if we'd won our last two we'd be fifth. So it's really, really open."
