Brynjar Gunnarsson is a versatile central midfielder for Reading who also fulfilled roles at right back and in central defence in 2010-11. A solid, combative presence on the pitch Brynjar has been an invaluable member of the Royals? squad ever since he signed from Watford in 2005. He originally came to England in 2000, signing for Stoke City, but after spells with Nottingham Forest and the Hornets, Brynjar helped Reading reach the Premier League for the first time in their history, and scored a memorable FA Cup equaliser at Old Trafford as the Berkshire club mixed it amongst the country's elite.
