Robert Convey was born in Pennsylvania, United States in 1983. He became the youngest player ever to be signed by Major League Soccer in 2000 when he signed for DC United. He played 22 games in his first year at United and started 18 of them. In October 2005 Convey became the third youngest player in US history to recieve a cap for the United States team. He was also captain for the Under 20 team at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship.In 2004 he left US soccer to play English football.
