Murty not ready for Royals return
The long-serving full-back would have been in line for a recall to the Royals' starting line-up against the Sky Blues had he been fit, after Liam Rosenior was forced to undergo surgery on a broken hand.
But Murty, who had a loan spell at Charlton earlier this season, is still not fully recovered from a calf injury.
Reading physio Jon Fearn told the club's official website: "Murts is doing well, he's getting into his running drills again after starting up with them late last week.
"He still needs some time before he can push on to the next stage and we will make sure his progress is steady."
Former Arsenal trainee Julian Kelly is expected to get the nod to fill the right-back berth.
