Mills makes Royals switch

Highly-rated Doncaster Rovers defender Matt Mills has completed his transfer to Championship rivals Reading.

The 23-year-old has signed a three-year contract at the Madejski Stadium after moving to the Royals for an undisclosed seven-figure fee.

Director of football Nick Hammond said of Mills' arrival: "Matthew's the right type of player for our club.

"He's young and hungry but, at the same time, he's already gained very good experience in his career.

"He's a talented player and, most importantly, with all the interest in him, he's shown enormous desire to join Reading Football Club."
