Reading manager Brian McDermott was full of praise for captain Matt Mills after his goal secured a 2-1 win over Leicester. The Roayls took the lead against the run of play after 22 minutes when Shane Long shrugged off Joao Moreno to feed Jimmy Kebe who crossed for Gylfi Sigurdsson to dink the ball over Conrad Logan from six yards. Leicester were level in the 51st minute when their man of the match Lloyd Dyer cut in from the right to hammer home a low drive from 20 yards. The Royals' winner came after 85 minutes when Mills scored with a thumping header from a Brian Howard corner for his third goal of the season, and the defender also cleared Steve Howard's thunderbolt off the goalline McDermott said: "It was a great goal from Mills and a great header off the line. "But he wasn't alone. We have a terrific spirit in the camp so it's full credit to all our players. At the end Leicester were pushing on and causing us all sorts of problems but I'm delighted we managed to hang on in there."
