Mills honoured to keep captaincy

Reading defender Matt Mills has confessed his surprise at keeping the captaincy after the return of Ivar Ingimarsson. Mills was given the armband last year when veteran Ingimarsson suffered a serious hamstring injury but has kept hold of the honour since the Iceland international returned to play alongside him. Mills told the Reading Evening post: "It's a huge honour. Keeping the armband came as a little bit of a surprise because Ivar is such a big player for the club. "He's a very professional guy. I'm sure he sees it in the sense that I've played 30-odd games this year and he has only just come back into the side. "We won't fall out about it. At the end of the day it's only an armband and he still talks as much as me on the pitch. "And everybody still looks to him as he's such a big player for the club."
