The 21-year-old, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Aldershot, was out of contract but will now remain at the Madejski Stadium until 2011. Director of football Nick Hammond told the club's official website: "Scott had another very good season on loan with Aldershot, playing 45 games and scoring 14 goals. "He can now look forward to coming back for pre-season with an opportunity to impress our new manager." Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ben Hamer has won the Puma Golden Glove award for League Two after keeping the highest number of clean sheets in the division during his loan spell at title-winning Brentford.
