McDermott frustrated by Royals show

Reading manager Brian McDermott was disappointed not to pick up at least a point from the 3-1 defeat at QPR. Rangers were reduced to 10 men when Bradley Orr was sent-off but despite Shane Long`s stunner the Royals were unable to capitalise. McDermott said: "I felt when it was 2-1 we were definitely going to get something from the game. But we didn't put them under enough pressure. "We were just passing it around, but not in the right areas. When you play against QPR you really have to battle and get balls into the box. "We didn't do ourselves justice. I know we're better than we showed and that's the most frustrating thing. "The difference between the two sides was Adel Taarabt, who has a lot of talent and was involved in two of their goals. From our point of view, we had to stop those kind of things happening. He had a very good day, and unfortunately we didn't."
