Reading's Czech Republic midfielder Marek Matejovsky is hoping to be back in action in the near future, as he steps up his recovery from an ankle injury.
The 26-year-old was stretchered off during the goalless draw with Nottingham Forest on the opening day of the new season, but Matejovsky is upbeat about his prospects.
He told Denik Sport: "The doctor said my ankle looks very nice.
"Last week I did some special exercises on the ankle and at the beginning of this week I will start jogging.
"I believe that from then on it will improve quickly. I just don't want to rush it.
"The doctor told me that if I rush it, something might go wrong inside the ankle and I would risk surgery."
