Reading's Czech Republic midfielder Marek Matejovsky says he has no plans to quit the club, following their relegation the Championship.
The 26-year-old scored once in 14 appearances for the Royals following his arrival from Mlada Boleslav in the January transfer window and is obviously shocked at his new club's demise.
He told a Czech newspaper: "No (I never had a release clause) because I really did not expect we would go down.
"I did not expect I would experience something like this in my first spell abroad. All the time I did not even suppose it could end like this.
"I don't know at all what will happen in the future, I don't see much into the club management.
"I believe though that they will want to return as soon as possible and I am sure we have the potential to achieve that.
"It is a big blow. I have not thought even in the worst dream that my first season abroad would end up with relegation. I feel really sad."
