Hahnemann returned from a two-and-a-half month lay-off with a calf injury against Bristol City on Saturday but was on the bench thanks to the form of stand in Adam Federici.[LNB]But Hahnemann told the Reading Evening Post: "I want to play. How long have I been doing this? I do it because I want to play. Me and the manager haven't even discussed the situation.[LNB]"Adam has done really well and the team has been doing really well. Obviously we could have done better in the last couple of games, but we haven't been letting goals in.[LNB]"When I was on the bench at Fulham for two or three years because Edwin (van der Sar) came in, I still expected to play because otherwise you are not preparing yourself right.[LNB]"You have to prepare yourself because even if you are not starting you could have to come on in the first minute. If you are not mentally prepared then forget it. It just isn't going to work. I will be preparing myself for next week otherwise I would be in the wrong profession."[LNB][LNB]
