Madejski hails departed Rodgers
Rodgers left the Royals by mutual consent on Wednesday following a disappointing six-month spell in charge. But when asked if there had been a disagreement with Rodgers, Madejski told Sky Sports News: "Absolutely not. It was simply results. "We left on amicable terms and I just want to place on record that Brendan Rodgers is one of the finest people I know and I wish him every success in the future. "There's no animosity at all, but football is all about results and sadly we didn't get them. "All I can tell you is I'm a very sad chairman because it's one of the hardest things I've had to do as he's such a straight-forward nice guy."
