Long signs new Reading contract

Reading striker Shane Long has signed a new contract to keep him at the club until 2012.Republic of Ireland international Long, 23, has scored 13 goals in this calendar year, more than any other member of the Royals squad. Long told the club website: "This is my sixth season at the club and I've enjoyed every year here. "It's nice that the manager [Brian McDermott] has shown some faith in me and offered me a new deal."
