Reading striker Leroy Lita claims he is ready to quit the club if he continues to be overlooked by manager Steve Coppell.
The former England Under-21 international has started just four Premier League games this season and has revealed his frustration at a lack of first-team opportunities.
Lita, who joined the Royals from Bristol City in 2005, has been linked with a move to Sunderland during the current transfer window.
He scored 14 times in 41 appearances during a profitable last season.
"I've already missed half of the season and I don't want that to continue," he said.
"If I'm not going to get the opportunity here then I have to leave.
"The gaffer doesn't think I'm good enough but I believe I can play in this team.
"I just haven't had the chance to show what I can do and I've not been given the opportunity."
