Lita expects Royals impact

Reading striker Leroy Lita wants to remain with the Royals through the second half of the season and help the club challenge for a return to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Norwich City, before heading back to the Madejski Stadium and finding the net in the 4-0 rout of Watford.

Lita commented: "I have spoken to the manager and he told me he would love me to stay here and be part of things.

"I made it clear that I have no plans to go anywhere. I never felt not wanted, but I like playing.

"I made it clear that if I wasn't playing then it was better to go out on loan, but I love the club and I want to put in my shift and help the team.

"I'm here now and I want to be a part of this season. I have no other thoughts in my head apart from helping us achieve what we want at the end of the season."
