Reading striker Dave Kitson has suffered a setback as he battles back from injury and faces another six weeks on the sidelines after hurting his hamstring in training.
The 26-year-old former Cambridge United forward has not played since the opening day victory against Middlesbrough because of a knee injury.
Royals physio Jon Fearn told the club's official website: "Kits over-stretched going for a cross in training on Friday and has pulled the hamstring in his other leg, it's a minor tear.
"Before this he was training and therefore probably about two weeks from competitive football, now it will be around four to six weeks from here."
Bobby Convey, Glen Little and Peter Mate are also currently out injured.
