Kitson happy with Royals return

The 29-year-old striker has agreed to return the Madejski Stadium but the Royals must wait for ratification from the Football League, which is expected on Wednesday. Kitson only left Reading in the summer in a £5.5million move to the Britannia Stadium, but he has failed to score in 16 appearances for the Potters and has returned to the Royals with a view to a permanent deal. "It's very nice to be back. As soon as I knew there was a chance I knew I wanted it to happen," Kitson told the club's official website. "Hopefully I can have an impact in the next 10 games and help us kick on." Kitson netted 60 goals in 147 appearances in his first spell with the Royals. The deal for Kitson involved a six-figure loan fee and Stoke will hope to claw back most of the sum they paid for Kitson less than eight months ago if Steve Coppell's side, currently third in the Championship, return to the top flight.
