Kebe pens new Royals deal

Reading winger Jimmy Kebe has signed a new long-term contract which will keep him at the Madejski Stadium until 2012.

Kebe, 23, joined the Royals from Lens in January and has made 21 appearances in all competitions this season.

The French-born Mali international still had over two years remaining on his existing deal.

"Jimmy has now found his feet with us and adjusted well to English football, illustrated by the fact that he already has seven assists this season," director of football Nick Hammond told the club's official website.

"He's an exciting talent who gets supporters onto the edge of their seats and it's very important that we have secured him for the next three-and-a-half years because he's the kind of player who is bound to create interest from other clubs."
