Iceman seals Royals switch

Iceland international striker Gunnar Thorvaldsson has finally completed his loan move to Reading from Danish club Esbjerg.

The 27-year-old has been training with the Royals for the past few weeks and has finally been given the go-ahead to feature for the Championship strugglers.

He told the club's official website: "I'm looking forward to the challenge and hopefully I can do well here.

"I am very aggressive on the field and look to get into action in the penalty area.

"I have had a few injuries, which has been frustrating, but this is a big opportunity for me to get going again."
