Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt has ended speculation about his future by penning a new three-year contract with the Royals.
The 25-year-old had been linked with Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic after enjoying a successful first season in the Premier League last term.
The Republic of Ireland international will now remain at the Madejski Stadium until June 2010.
Director of football Nick Hammond told the club's official website: "Stephen Hunt is a great example of what can be achieved with belief, dedication and will-power.
"He rose to the challenge last season with some superb performances to become a key member of our team. We think he will get even better in the next three years."
Hunt added: "I'm very pleased to sign. Over the last couple of seasons the club has become a very big part of my life.
"Hopefully both the club and myself will continue to move forward. I'm very happy to stay."
