Hunt ready to return for Royals
The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international striker insists he backed the decision by manager Brendan Rodgers to leave him out of the Championship clash at London Road and will work hard to get back in the team.
Hunt said: "It was footballing reasons. Brendan's gone with something different up front and I'm 100% behind him.
"He's the manager and I'm there for when he needs me. Obviously I want to play, it's just one of those things and he gave me a reason why he left me out.
"I know I'll always get chances in this league and I know in the box that if I get chances and I play then I'll score goals."
Reading face Rodgers' former club Watford at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
