Hunt leads the way
Noel Hunt netted the only goal as Reading began their pre-season programme with a hard-fought victory at non-league Farnborough.
The Republic of Ireland striker tapped home from virtually the goal-line after a long kick by goalkeeper Simon Locke eluded the home defence and goalkeeper.
Hal Robson-Kanu came close to opening the scoring on the stroke of half-time when his effort hit the crossbar and Locke then made a superb save to keep out Jack King's free-kick to preserve his side's lead.
