Reading striker Noel Hunt has distanced himself from reports of an international call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad following an impressive display against Norwich at the weekend.
The 27-year-old former Dundee United forward was instrumental in the Royals' fightback at the weekend, scoring the second goal before Shane Long levelled the scores from the penalty spot.
Hunt told the club's official website, "I'm just trying to get back into this team and to help the boys along.
"If by doing that and helping my teammates, it helps me get back into the international squad, I'll be delighted.
"But I just want to get things right here first. I've only got a little while left on my contract and I need to prove to these people here that I'm worth keeping."
