Howe: Future is bright for Royals

Scott Davies has already penned a new two-year deal with the Royals while Oliver Bozanic and Ben Hamer are currently mulling over offers of an extended stay at the Madejski Stadium. This will give a welcome selection dilemma to whoever is appointed as Steve Coppell's successor as the Royals seek to continue to give Academy players first-team experience. "There are a group of eight or 10 players here who can easily produce good performances for us here next year," Howe told the club's official website. "I would like to think they will do that and really come through into our first team. "You only need to look at the record of the clubs they have been out on loan at to see how well they have been doing. In fact, many of those clubs have wanted to keep the players and it shows the depth we are producing." Reading have continued their preparation for the 2009/10 Championship campaign by announcing a pre-season friendly at Didcot on Wednesday July 15, while Graeme Murty's testimonal is set for Tuesday July 21.
