Hornets chief cools Rodgers reports

The 36-year-old has been touted by bookies as one of the favourites to replace Steve Coppell, who left the Royals in the wake of their play-off semi-final defeat to Burnley this week. Rodgers was Reading's academy director before leaving to join Chelsea but Russo believes a return to the Madejski Stadium is not on the cards. "It is highly unlikely as Brendan has made a commitment to Watford going forward and we are delighted he is on board," Russo told the club's official website. "He has seen the plans for the future and they are very exciting."
