Griffin living the dream

Reading defender Andy Griffin has laughed off suggestions that footballers have it hard by working over the Christmas break. The Royals are preparing to play four games in eight days at a time of year when most of the country is enjoying a holiday, but Griffin insists they are the lucky ones. He said: "I'm living the dream as a footballer, as is every other player out there. It's all you ever wanted to do as a child. "People who are not in the football world always say to me 'you don't get much time off at Christmas' and it's the busiest time of the football calendar. "But I am looking forward to it. It will be tough both physically and mentally but we are all in the same boat and want to keep our run going."
