Federici fit to play in Magpies clash

Federici was forced off with severe cramp during Saturday's draw with Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup. But club physio Jon Fearn told the club's official website: "Adam is fine, we have run preliminary tests and there are no concerns for the weekend." Federici added: "I felt my hamstring go a few kicks before I stumbled, it was more a precaution than anything. "I'll be fine for the weekend, I was in a bit of pain but it's pretty minor." Meanwhile, Jobi McAnuff will also be fit to face the Magpies despite sustaining a slight ankle problem against Liverpool.
