The Royals face Burnley in the semi-final and despite a poor run of form in the final third of the season Downes is confident of success. Downes told the Reading Evening Post: "We know exactly what we have to do. It's a three-match dogfight, we have three wars to go and we have to make sure we look each other in the eye, stand up and be counted and make sure we get the result. "These games are going for the biggest prize in football - a place in the Premier League - and we need strong characters. You need to be able to stand up to what is thrown at you. "But I have absolute faith in them."
