Double deal boosts Royals
28 Nov 2006 - 09:12:24
Reading duo Marcus Hahnemann and Glen Little have signed contract extensions with the Royals to keep them at the club until the summer of 2008.
USA goalkeeper Hahnemann, 34, had spoken of his desire to finish his career with Reading, having joined the club in the summer of 2002 from Fulham, following a successful loan spell.
He told the club's official website: "The more time I've spent here the better it's got and I've never hidden the fact that I wanted to stay.
"My family is happy here, this is the club where I made my name and got back into the national team. I'm happy to sign."
Winger Little joined the Royals at the end of the 2003-04 season and helped them gain promotion to the top-flight for the first time in their history last term.
He added: "I want to stay at Reading until the end of my career, so I had no hesitation in signing this contract.
"Things have gone well for me here and when you're at a club where you enjoy training every day, you want to stay."
