Coppell pleased to lift cloud

Reading boss Steve Coppell was relieved to finally end a poor run of form with an impressive 2-0 win at Derby County.

Second-half goals by Dave Kitson and Shane Long ended a five-match winless sequence for the Royals who virtually guaranteed their place in the play-offs with the victory.

Coppell said after the win: "I'm not saying we can relax but you feel as if the cloud isn't following you around so much.

"I've being saying for a few games what we needed was a performance and a result and I do believe we got both.

"The boys stuck at it, tried to play and I must say the surface was a delight for us to play on."
