Coppell was just 28 when he took charge of Crystal Palace in 1984, but after guiding the Royals to a 1-0 win at Doncaster in midweek is hoping for another victory at Selhurst Park on Saturday.[LNB]He said: "Neil Warnock texted me to welcome me into the 1,000 games club which was very gratefully received. It was a nice touch that he took the time to contact me personally.[LNB]"I spent a long time at Palace and every manager has a huge affection for the place he cut his teeth at.[LNB]"I had nine years on the bounce and other spells, most memorably when we were in administration before it was fashionable.[LNB]"It was a very difficult 20 months but the club survived only because of the spirit within and the supporters' endurance."[LNB][LNB]
